Sometimes bad things are turned into good things. This was the case last night as the Seattle Totems hosted the annual Green/White game in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Olympiview Arena. The Green team, paced by a two goal performance by KJ Edwards staved off a late White Team comeback, and prevailed 5-3.
With Totems Head Coach Coach, Mike Butters, watching the game from the stands, Associate Coach, Cannon Rogers and Assistant Coach, Michael Savidge each took a bench. Coach Rogers was pleased with the groups output as he looks forward to the upcoming season. “I’m very excited about our group this year. We have a great combination of size, skill, and physicality, which was showcased tonight in our inter-squad game. You can tell these boys all share a winning mentality, and they have the potential to achieve big things this season.”
The Totems now have a week of practice to prepare for their weekend-opening series with the Bellingham Blazers. The Totems Home Opener is next Saturday at Olympicview Arena. Game time is 7:00pm.
